Otherwise titled "How to Read Virginia Woolf"
And that is what I have been up to the last 3 weeks - these are just the most colorful examples of my thoroughly engaged reading endeavor.
I was joking with my cousin when this all began that I was entering into an abusive relationship with Virginia Woolf and not entirely sure whether I would be the abused or the abusive. Well I certainly abused the books - but it is pretty freakin cool to flip through them now. I have always enjoyed reading and I can crank through a book pretty quick, but Mrs. Woolf really pushed my limits - it took on average about 3 hours to read 50 pages (by that I mean reading for comprehension which is entirely different than just viewing word after word). It required some serious, sit up straight at the kitchen table, no tv commitment, to get through. I even discovered after reading Aiden to sleep one night with Orlando that reading Woolf out loud helps a lot! But takes twice as long...
Well I don't know that I will ever pick her up again but I recommend The Waves to anyone who is looking for a serious challenge in the future. Also, I don't know that I can ever go back to leisurely reading again....

Good grief!! Busy lady! Do you do this to all books or just books required for school?
Ya know it depends on the book, if it's light, say charlaine harris I won't have much to write because there's not much to say. But I am by nature a book writer. This is an extreme example I think because of the difficulty of Woolf but it's going to be hard not to make every book so pretty from here on out.
